Then & Now: historical aerial photos of your farm

See a government aerial photograph of an Ohio or Indiana parcel from 1988 to 1999 beside today's state imagery, with the parcel outline on both. Each photo is labeled with its date and its source. Free, no account needed.

Where the photos come from

Ohio: the USGS Digital Orthophoto Quarter Quads, flown 1988 to 1999 and served by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The date shown is the photo date of the quarter quad at the parcel's center. Where that set has no image, the page uses Ohio's OSIP I imagery (2006 to 2008). The "now" photo is USDA NAIP 2023.

Indiana: the 1998 USDA NRCS orthophotos served by the Indiana Geographic Information Office (the flight day is not published), or the 1970s county photography for Vigo, Sullivan, Knox, Greene, Daviess and Clay counties. The "now" photo is IndianaMap's current statewide imagery.

Both photos cover the same area at the same scale, so roads and field edges line up. The images are provided as-is by the agencies credited under each one.
